Dear Santa

Dear Santa,

This year will be my first Christmas.  Mummy has told me all about it and I assure you I have been a very good girl.  When mummy was little she used to get very excited about Christmas, it was her favourite day of the year and I think it still is.  She spent Christmas with her family they would celebrate with a big seafood feast at Oma and Opa’s house in Wedderburn on the 24th.  They would start with the big feast then they got to open all their presents under the big Christmas tree.  Mummy used enjoy decorating the tree with her Oma a couple of weeks before. Mummy said she was very lucky and looking back she was very spoilt.  One of her favourite presents was a battery operated guitar and a pink portable black and white TV.

Sadly we are not in Australia so we don’t get to enjoy my first Christmas with our families. Last year when I was in mummies belly we spent Christmas with all the families.  Christmas eve, like tradition we spent in Coffs Harbour with Oma, Omi, Poppy and my Aunty Melissa and cousins. Then we drove up to the Gold Coast and spent Christmas Day with G Nan and G dad,  Daddies Aunty and cousins and Uncle Matt and Sam. G Nan really put on a huge a feast, I think mummy ate lots as I remember it getting quite squishy in her tummy.

So this year we are not sure where we are spending Christmas and what we plan to do, however mummy and daddy has reassured me no matter what I have been such a good girl this year and Santa will find us where ever we are.  Also they said that this year since it’s my first I will most likely get spoilt even though we are so far away from our families.

Mummy has been talking to Omi on skype and came up with a plan for any one wanting to buy me a Christmas present this year.   Postage is very expensive in Australia, sending 6 Cherry ripes costs nearly $50!! So Mummy has set up some gift lists on some very trusted sites that we use here in the UK.  It’s a bit like a very long list to Santa Claus.  Mummy went a bit crazy and included everything from clothes, to stocking fillers and larger items (she won’t tell me though as it’s a surprise).  There is plenty to choose from and she has pre-entered in all the information like address and delivery dates etc to take out the hassle and save the costs of posting from Australia. She will include all the websites and passwords or Gift list names so they are easier for you to find.  What a good idea Omi!!

So what has everyone planned for Christmas this year? I won’t be the only one having my first Christmas, it will be Ada and Jordy’s first Christmas and all my friends from mummy’s mothers group – Jake and Cora, I wonder what will be on your letters to Santa Claus?       (use the password: Harlow11)  (Click on Gift List and enter mummy’s email address:

Only 43 sleeps till Santa visits.

About Harlow London Stanley

With a lot of help from my mummy, I am writing this blog to help my friends and family stay in touch with me when we move to London in a few weeks. I am going to miss everyone and I am not very good at writing emails and I can't talk yet, so skype can be difficult. So we thought this would be the most fun way for everyone to see what I am up to. At the moment I am almost 6 months old so there are few big milestones ahead of me, teeth, crawling, walking and talking are just a few that I hope to master this year. All of my family will be home in Australia and will miss these amazing moments, so I promise to post them with pictures, videos and little diary entries as soon as they happen.
